MR. JOHN WATSON

Mr. Watson obtained his BA Sc.(Civil) at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada, and then his MBA at Simon Fraser University, Burnaby, British Columbia in 1971.. Mr. Watson has gained a wealth of experience in the totality of project management from inception to completion.He is a life member in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of B.C. and presided as the President for the term 2001-02. He received the APEG Professional Service Award in 2007, served as President (1988-89) of the Consulting Engineers of B.C., is a member of the Arbitration and Mediation Institute of B.C. and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

In 1963, Mr. Watson began his illustrious career as a Structural Engineer and Plant Engineer for Canron's Western Bridge Division carrying the responsibility for maintenance and expansions of a structural steel fabrication plant producing 20 000 tons annually.

Thereafter he served in several capacities with Fluor Daniel Inc..beginning in 1971 as a Project Manager. Under his perview were: the start up of Snow Lake Concentrator in Manitoba, the Kitsault B.C. Molybdenum expansion to double capacity, the Cerro Verde Oxide Copper facility, and the Key Lake, Sask., uranium benefication facility,

In 1984, Mr. Watson accepted the position of General Manager, Engineering Poject Management Services..Then, in 1988, he rose to VP Operations for all the projects handled in the Vancouver office of which some were world wide.At any time, as many as 80 distinct projects were active requiring administration as to schedule, engineering quality, budget performance and client satisfaction.

Mr.Watson next served as Sr. Project Manager for H.A. Simons, Mining Group with responsibility of a US$200M expansion at Cominco Alaska's Red Dog Mine in Alaska He has since become a President of his own consulting firm, Tranquille Management Inc. with further services as Chair of the B.C. Safety Authority, a Director of the Vancouver International Airport Authority, and a Commissioner of the N.Fraser Harbour Commission, to list a few.

Mr. Watson has just initiated his association with Philip G. Beynon & Associates Inc. as a Senior Consultant. We look forward to him sharing his experience in the inception, control and completion aspects of project planning and management His depth of knowledge together with his excellent communication and inter-personal skills are admirable qualifications for the position he takes with the organization.
